Varying ages of pine stands constitute the majority of the tract. Roughly 80 to 100 acres are in 12 1/2 year old pines, about 100 acres in 7 to 8 year old pines, and the balance in fields and nice hardwoods in the creek bottoms and stream side management zones. This land is covered up with turkey and deer. The property has over 2200' of frontage on Alabama Highway 22, and access is behind a locked gate on a shared road. Miles and miles of good internal roads and trails give you access to all parts of the property. Most of the perimeter of the tract is accessible by fire lane, and the boundary lines are painted. Several small creeks flow throughout the property allowing a good source of water. The terrain varies from flat to hilly.

 

About a half-dozen foodplots provide excellent hunting or wildlife viewing areas and 7 shooting houses are on the property. I saw at least a dozen turkeys and watched deer in three different places on the morning I took these photos. Paul Grist State Park is less than 5 miles to the south, offering you a 100 acre lake for fishing, canoeing, and swimming.

 

The gate to the property is situated between mile markers 39 and 40 on the east side of Highway 22. The land is conveniently located within an easy drive of airports in Birmingham, Montgomery, and Tuscaloosa.
